Founder and Former CEO of Two Men and a Truck
I’ve been going to Toastmasters for more than a decade, and it’s changed my life.

Before I joined North Sydney Achievers club, I dreaded the thought of speaking in public. Now, thanks to the support and education I’ve received from my Toastmasters friends, I’ve become a skilled public speaker.

Since joining Toastmasters, I’ve appeared on TV, appeared on the radio, and done professional speeches. I know how to speak confidently and articulately – without umming and ahhing or staring at my feet.

Learning how to speak in public is a vital life skill, so I’d recommend Toastmasters to anyone. It’s a safe, non-judgmental environment. It’s also a lot of fun.

Why did you join?
Like so many people, I was terrified of talking in public. In my role at work I’m expected to deliver engaging customer presentations.
What have you got out of it?
I’m not going to sugar coat it, I was terrible at the start. But with lots of practice and support, I am now able to deliver prepared speeches in a confident manner as well as impromptu ones. I’ve even managed to win Area competitions which I never thought was possible. Here’s one of my speeches
What’s special about North Sydney Achievers?
Its a fun, safe place to practice and receive constructive feedback. My mentor has helped guide me along my public speaking journey.
